<p>After a busy day at school, this chocolate mug cake is my favorite quick dessert. It&#8217;s basically a microwave cake in a cup, and it&#8217;s so quick and easy to make!</p>
<p>When you&#8217;re craving chocolate cake but don&#8217;t want to go to the work of baking a full cake, this mug cake is just what you need. It&#8217;s the perfect serving size for an individual portion. This mug cake cooks in the microwave in just one minute!<span id="more-167"></span></p>
<p>My chocolate mug cake has no egg. I have found that the cake has a better, more fudgy texture without the egg. You also don&#8217;t have to worry about whether or not a raw egg has cooked through all the way when you make this cake without egg.</p>
<h2>How to Make Chocolate Mug Cake</h2>
<p>This microwave chocolate cake is easy to make. To make it even quicker, have all of your ingredients and measuring spoons ready before you begin. You will also need two small bowls to mix the ingredients and a mug to cook your mug cake in.</p>
<p>The first step is to melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave. Then set the melted butter aside while you whisk together the dry ingredients.</p>

<p>In another small bowl, whisk together the flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and salt.</p>
<p>In the same bowl, add the milk, some vanilla, and the melted butter. Stir until everything is mixed together. You might see a few small lumps in the cake batter and that is ok.</p>

<p>Stir in the chocolate chips, and scoop into a small mug.</p>
<p>Microwave the cake in the mug for 45 seconds. If it still looks very wet on top, microwave for 15-30 seconds more. Take your chocolate mug cake out of the microwave and let it cool for a few minutes. It will be very hot when it first comes out of the microwave.</p>
<p>Enjoy your fudgy mug cake, served right in the mug!</p>

<h2>Tips for this Microwave Mug Cake Recipe</h2>

<li>If you have white whole wheat flour in your kitchen, you can use it instead of all-purpose flour. You won&#8217;t taste the difference, and your cake will be healthier.</li>
<li>In this recipe, you might not know what measurement a pinch of salt is. Pour a little salt into your hand. Take your thumb and another finger a grab a big pinch. That&#8217;s a pinch of salt!</li>
<li>Sometimes I stir up the mug cake batter right in the mug instead of in another bowl. It can be tricky to mix it all the way because of the shape of the mug, though. That&#8217;s why I suggest you mix the batter in a small bowl and then scoop it into a mug. You can always microwave it right in your microwave safe bowl, too.</li>
<li>Your mug cake will probably take between 45 seconds and 1 1/2 minutes to cook, depending on the strength of your microwave and the size and shape of your mug.</li>
<li>You can sprinkle a few more chocolate chips on top after microwaving your cake, for even more chocolate flavor.</li>

<h2>How to Make English Muffin Pizzas</h2>
<p>You should preheat the oven to 375 degrees F before you do anything else, so the oven can get to the right temperature as you are preparing the English Muffin Pizzas.</p>
<p>To start making your mini pizzas, cut each English muffin in half. Put the English muffin halves on a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper or foil.</p>
<p>Next, you&#8217;ll need some pizza sauce! You can buy pizza sauce or make your own. For a quick and easy pizza sauce, I mix together tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. You could also use marinara sauce. Spread some sauce on each pizza.</p>
<p>Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the tomato sauce. Finally, put your favorite toppings on. I used pepperoni. Bake the pizzas for 6 minutes, until the cheese melts.</p>
<p>You can make English muffin pizzas ahead of time. They are an easy recipe for school lunches. You can refrigerate the baked English muffin pizzas for up to three days.</p>
<h2>English Muffin Pizza Topping Ideas</h2>
<ul>
<li>Cheese: Try different kinds of cheese, such as mozzarella, Monterey jack, cheddar, or even feta or goat cheese.</li>
<li>Meat: Pepperoni is a classic pizza topping. Also try salami, cooked sausage, ham or chicken.</li>

<h2>How to Make Blueberry Pancakes</h2>
<p>First, melt the butter and set it aside. The butter will cool a little bit while you mix up the rest of the batter.</p>
<p>In a large bowl, mix together the white whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. In a medium bowl, mix together the egg, milk, honey, and vanilla. Slowly stir in the melted butter.</p>
<p>Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Slowly stir the mixture together and be sure not to over-mix the batter. If you mix the batter too much, your pancakes could turn out flat or dense.</p>

<li>When measuring flour, use a spoon to scoop the flour into your measuring cup. If you use your measuring cup to scoop the flour it could pack too much flour into the measuring cup. Spoon and level your flour for an accurate measurement.</li>
<li>Be sure to use baking powder in this recipe, not baking soda. Baking powder and baking soda are not the same.</li>
<li>If you don&#8217;t have fresh blueberries you can use frozen. You don&#8217;t have to thaw the frozen blueberries.</li>
<li>You can use mini chocolate chips instead of blueberries.</li>

<p>If you&#8217;ve never made homemade popsicles, I&#8217;ll show you that it&#8217;s not difficult at all. There are just a few easy steps to get your popsicles made and in the freezer.</p>
<p>These homemade popsicles are a great snack or dessert on a hot day! Since they&#8217;re made with fruit and yogurt, you can even serve them for breakfast.<span id="more-43"></span></p>

<h2>How to Make Popsicles</h2>
<p>This recipe requires a blender or food processor. If you are a kid, be sure to ask an adult to help you.</p>
<p>To make this recipe, first put the strawberries and pineapple in the blender. Blend until the fruit is a smooth puree.</p>
<p>Next, in a small bowl, stir together the yogurt and honey. Add the yogurt mixture to the blender and use a spoon to stir it up a little bit. If you want to see swirls of fruit and yogurt in your popsicles, only stir the yogurt in partially. If you mix the yogurt in all the way, your popsicles will be a solid color instead of swirled.</p>

<p>Carefully pour the fruit and yogurt mixture into popsicle molds. I used these <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Norpro-Frozen-Maker-Wooden-Sticks/dp/B0002IBJOG" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">popsicle molds</a>. If you don&#8217;t have popsicle molds, you can use small paper or plastic cups instead.</p>
<p>If your popsicle molds have a slot to hold popsicle sticks, you can put the sticks in right away. If not, freeze the popsicles for two hours and then put the sticks in. You will want to freeze your popsicles for six hours total before you eat them.</p>
<h3>How to Remove Popsicles from Molds</h3>
<p>Once your popsicles are completely frozen, you will need to take them out of the molds before you can eat them. You can let the popsicles sit on the counter for about ten minutes, or until they loosen enough to take out the popsicles. If you can&#8217;t wait &#8211; I know I never can! &#8211; you can run some cool water on the outside of the popsicle molds until the popsicles will come out. Just don&#8217;t use hot water because that will melt the popsicles too much.</p>
<p>Once you&#8217;ve removed the popsicles from the molds, you can store them in a sealed ziploc bag in the freezer if you aren&#8217;t going to eat them all right away.</p>

<h2>Tips for Making Fruit and Yogurt Popsicles</h2>
<ul>
<li>Some popsicle molds (like this <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Zoku-Easy-release-Popsicle-Drip-guards-BPA-free/dp/B00CDL33Q2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">popsicle mold</a> that I have) come with sticks, which is pretty handy. If you need to use wooden popsicle sticks be sure to buy food safe popsicle sticks.</li>
<li>Mix the yogurt into the fruit mixture only a tiny bit, otherwise, the popsicles won&#8217;t be as pretty and swirly.</li>
<li>You can make these with other kinds of fruit. Try berries such as blueberries or raspberries, or try peaches or mango.</li>
<li>Instead of plain Greek yogurt, you can also use vanilla yogurt. If you are using a flavored yogurt you may want to leave out the honey.</li>

<h2>How to Make Cinnamon Toast</h2>
<p>First, get two slices of bread and put them in the toaster. Check your toaster setting so you do not burn your bread. I like to use whole wheat sandwich bread for a healthy cinnamon toast. Once the bread slices are toasted the way you like them, take them out of the toaster.</p>
<p>Spread the warm toasted bread with butter. The butter will start to melt into the bread. Next, sprinkle the bread with cinnamon and sugar and serve.</p>

<li>You should always put the butter on before you put the cinnamon and sugar, otherwise, the cinnamon and sugar won&#8217;t stick.</li>
<li>Toast the bread more or less, depending on how you like your toast.</li>

<li>This recipe is easily doubled. Use however many slices of bread you need for the amount of people you are serving.</li>
<li>Cinnamon toast tastes best when it is warm. Serve immediately, otherwise, the toast will lose its crunch.</li>

<h2>How to Make a Yogurt Bowl</h2>
<p>To make a yogurt bowl, you start by putting some yogurt into a small serving bowl. I usually use plain Greek yogurt, but you can use different kinds of yogurt such as flavored yogurt. Try to choose a yogurt that doesn&#8217;t have a lot of added sugar.</p>
<p>Next, you add honey, then blueberries, and then graham cracker. I like to crumble the graham cracker into small pieces before adding it to the yogurt bowl. You could also use graham crackers for dipping.</p>
<p>For the honey, you should drizzle it on right after you put in the yogurt, otherwise, your graham cracker will get soggy.</p>
